George Haberfeld established Three Falls Ranch in 1911.
Before the Haberfelds or the Schmidts, the Tubatualbal people lived in the area where Three Falls Ranch now sits.
Tubatualbal, which loosely translates as”Pine-nut eaters”, have always occupied the lower regions of the Southern Sierra Mountains. Native grinding stones, sinks, bathtubs and other artifacts can be found throughout the area. For more information on the Tubatialbal people please follow this link
